Terrell Owens is Done
Written by Travis Pulver, Monday October 10 2011
If Terrell Owens thought it was hard to find a team willing to sign him last year, it will be near impossible for him after his latest scandal.
Last Thursday the famous wide receiver had to be treated for a possible prescription medicine overdose. Paramedics had to be called to the apartment he was at, and he was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Police were called into investigate the incident.
Representatives for Owens have yet to comment on the story. Even if they tried to deny it, the world will likely not believe it since it is not the first time that Owens has been hospitalized for a drug overdose.
Back in 2006 he had to be treated for taking 35 Vicodin pills. Owens of course denied doing so.
This will likely be the last straw for any team that was still on the fence about signing one of the most talented wide receivers to ever play the game. His legendary locker room escapades have already tainted a number of teams. Concerns about a 37-year old surgically repaired knee will scare others away.
Add on questions about his mental stability after a second suspected drug overdose and there is one thing that is clear—his football career is done.
