Agent told Hillis Not to Play if Sick
Agent Kennard McGuire told his client; Cleveland Browns star running back Peyton Hillis, not to play in week three against the Miami Dolphins if he was sick.
Hillis had strep throat and McGuire feared that his client would be risking injury and jeopardizing his career if he played in the game being less then 100%.
However, some of Hillis’ teammates feel that he sat out the game in protest of his contract situation as he is in the final year of his current contract.
“Not only could he have hurt himself but he could have hurt his team,” McGuire said. “Nobody embodies Cleveland like Peyton Hillis. If anyone wants to point a finger, point it at me.”
