Who Should Michael Vick Really Be Mad At?
Written by Travis Pulver, Monday September 26 2011
After Sunday’s loss to the New York Giants by a score of 29-16, Michael Vick did not hold back on how he felt about the way the game was officiated, namely the lack of a call on Chris Canty when he hit Vick in the third quarter.
On Monday, Vick did back off of his comments about the officiating saying that the comments were out of character and that he would not complain about the officiating again.
ESPN crunched the numbers and proved that Vick actually gets more calls than other quarterbacks, two percent of the time in comparison to .6 for the rest of the league.
Maybe Vick was really mad because his play has been less than stellar so far this season.
After earning a $100 million contract last season, Vick has done little to show the team’s confidence was justified. So far his play has been mediocre at best as is evidenced in his QB rating (87.7; 16th in the league) and the Eagles 1-2 record.
