Yankees keep Red Sox Sliding
The New York Yankees kept their biggest rivals, the Boston Red Sox sliding downward in the American League wild card race with a 9-1 victory on Saturday.
The Red Sox are 4-15 since they held a nine-game lead over the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL wild-card race on Sept. 4 and now that have only a two game lead with five games left to go.
The Yankees would like nothing more then to beat the Red Sox again on Sunday and help to possibly knock them out of the playoffs altogether.
