Bengals WR Jerome Simpson was delivered Marijuana
Written by Nolan Thomas, Thursday September 22 2011
The stupidity of some people just never seems to amaze me.
Cincinnati Bengals starting receiver Jerome Simpson had 2½ pounds of marijuana delivered to his Kentucky home Tuesday and the authorities were there waiting for it.
Simpson’s home was searched and six pounds of pot were found along with packaging materials, scales and smoking devices.
According to Tommy LaNier, head of the National Marijuana Initiative, the house "was set up as a potential distribution network" and the packages of pot came from the "Emerald Triangle," an area of Northern California known for growing the drug.
What is even more amazing to me is Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis’ comments concerning the incident. "I've been appraised of the situation for a few days now and unfortunately Anthony's name got put into it for no reason,"
Are you kidding me? It was his house, there were six pounds of pot along with paraphernalia and Simpson got put into it for no reason?
Some people will say anything to save face.
