Vikings Safety Arrested for DWI
Early Tuesday morning around 2:00 a.m., Minnesota Vikings safety Tyrell Johnson was arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired for failing to signal a merge onto an interstate ramp in Minneapolis.
Once he was pulled over, the state trooper noticed Johnson had bloodshot and watery eyes, was slurring his speech and could smell alcohol on his breath. After sobriety tests, Johnson’s blood-alcohol level was 0.12 percent and the legal limit in Minnesota is 0.08 percent.
Johnson was arrested into the Hennepin County jail and later released.
