Dunta Robinson Fined $40,000 for hit on Maclin
Atlanta Falcons safety Dunta Robinson was fined $40,000 for his flagrant hit on Philadelphia Eagles receiver Jeremy Maclin on Sunday. He will not be suspended for the hit however.
In the third quarter Robinson led with his helmet and was very close to actually launching himself after Maclin had caught a pass during the Falcons 35-31 victory. He was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness after the hit.
Last season Robinson was fined $25,000 for a similar hit on the Eagles’ DeSean Jackson which ended with both players having concussions.
