Will the Real Vince Young (Brett Favre/ Ben Roethlisberger) Please Stand Up?
Written by Travis Pulver, Monday September 19 2011
As kids there are often a few people we all dream about being—our daddies, Superman/Batman/ Spiderman, and/or our favorite football players.
It seems that these days there are a few grown men that have decided that since they were never able to live those dreams as a child, they need to as an adult.
The latest impersonation victim is Philadelphia Eagles back-up QB Vince Young.
“There’s a guy in D.C. running around saying he’s me,” Young said. “Keep watch out for this guy because he’s not me. He’s out there impersonating me. He’s been taking money, taking pictures with kids at hospitals. It’s real sick.”
He’s not the only one lately. Not too long ago there was a Brett Favre look-a-like and even a Ben Roethlisberger one roaming about.
While the fame and an apparent resemblance are obviously why the culprits are trying to do what they are doing, you have to wonder why they would want to be mistaken for a suspected sexual abuser (Roethlisberger), a dirty old man (Favre), and a guy known more for his temper tantrums (Young) than his skill.
