Yankees Mariano Rivera All Time Saves Leader [VIDEO]
New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera became the All-Time saves leader on Monday after pitching a perfect ninth inning to preserve a 6-4 win over the Minnesota Twins.
With his 602nd save, Rivera passed Trevor Hoffman and set the major league saves record.
From the instant Rivera took the mound in the ninth, the fans in Yankee Stadium were on their feet and cheering from his first pitch to his last.
Rivera retired the side in order striking out the Twins Chris Parmelee on a called strike three to end it as Yankee Stadium roared in approval.
