Written by Travis Pulver, Thursday September 01 2011
The former face of the Jacksonville Jaguars will be calling it a career after 13 seasons in the NFL as a Jaguar once again.
Fred Taylor is expected to sign a one day contract with the team that drafted him with the ninth pick in the 1998 draft on Friday.
"I want to thank every1 who has directly or indirectly supported my career and help shape my character," Taylor tweeted.
He will retire as the franchises leading rusher with 11,271 yards. Taylor ranks 15th on the NFL all-time rushing list with 11,695 yards.
