Vikings Return to Dome
After the Minnesota Vikings had to play two games at alternate fields because the dome collapsed last season after heavy snowfall, they will play at Mall of America Field, formerly known as the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, for the first time since early December.
Last December after the roof collapsed, the Vikings had to play their last two home games at Detroit’s Ford Field against the New York Giants and at TCF Bank Stadium at the University of Minnesota against the Chicago Bears.
The Vikes will be hosting the Dallas Cowboys in a preseason game Saturday night and are excited to be playing in their home stadium in front of the team’s fans again.
Vikings fans will get their first look at new quarterback Donovan McNabb who was traded from the Washington Redskins after the lockout ended.
McNabb was a Pro-Bowl quarterback with the Philadelphia Eagles before they traded him to the Redskins last season. He had a mediocre season with the Redskins last season.
