Danica Patrick to Drive NASCAR Only

Danica Patrick ended months of speculation by officially announcing her plans to leave Indy Car racing in 2012 in order to race a full Nationwide season for JR Motorsports as well as driving part-time in the Sprint Cup for Stewart-Haas Racing.
Patrick will run most of her races in the lower-tier Nationwide Series with only a handful of Sprint Cup races.
Patrick’s permanent switch to NASCAR should be a big boost to a sport that has been hurt by the economy.
With her sexy good looks and mass appeal, Patrick brings star power to NASCAR. Now all she has to do is win.
