Maurice Jones-Drew Still a Weenie on Cutler
Written by Nolan Thomas, Wednesday August 10 2011
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew made a statement that he will not apologize to Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler concerning his derogatory comments about the quarterback during the NFC Championship game after he was unable to continue in the second half after suffering a knee injury early in the second quarter.
“Hey I think the urban meyer rule is effect right now... When the going gets tough........QUIT," Jones-Drew tweeted.
Even after the team suggested he sit down, Cutler played through the injury, playing into the third quarter. Finally he conceded that he could not go and took the coaches advice and grabbed some pine.
Even after more facts were brought to light and more medical explanations were offered concerning Cutler’s injury, Jones-Drew remains as much a weenie now as he was in January sitting on a couch with his own knee injury.
It would be interesting to know where Dr. Jones-Drew received his medical degree.
