Tiger Woods Ready to Go
Tiger Woods is back, healthy, and ready to go in this weekends Bridgestone Invitational which starts on Thursday. It will be the first time on a PGA Tour golf course in almost three months.
“I’m excited to compete, to play,” Woods said. “And hopefully, to win the tournament.”
Woods says that his knee feels great and that there is no pain what-so-ever.
“The great thing is I don’t feel a thing,” Woods said. “It feels solid. It feels stable. No pain.”
Woods added that it has been years since he felt so good physically.
He was ranked No. 1 in the world last year at Bridgestone, but has slipped to No. 28 since his last win at the Australian Masters 20 months ago.
Woods has not played since walking off the course after nine holes at The Players Championship on May 12 because of recurring injuries to his left knee and Achilles’ tendon.
“I’m just focused on trying to win a golf tournament,” Woods said. “That’s it.”
