Santana Allows A Run, No Hits, 3rd No Hitter In 2011

Ervin Santana threw a no hitter in Cleveland today. The Angels beat the Indians, 3-1. It was the third no hitter this season in MLB. It was the 11th time a pitcher earned a no hitter but allowed a run.
Ezequiel Carrera led off the game by reaching on an error. He stole second, advanced to third on a fielder’s choice and scored on a wild pitch by Santana. Santana allowed a walk later in the game, and only faced two batters more than the minimum. He struck out 10.
Santana had never beaten the Indians prior to today. His lifetime mark against Cleveland was 0-6. The Angels took 2 out of 3 in the series against Cleveland.
