Tebow Broncos Starting QB Orton on Trading Block
Even though it has not been officially announced, word around Denver is that head coach John Fox already has Tim Tebow penciled in as the teams starting quarterback and that once the lockout is over, Kyle Orton is likely to be on the trading block.
Orton could stay with the Broncos and compete for the starting job along with Jake Delhomme and Brady Quinn, but they are all underdogs to win the job.
Some people still believe that Orton would win the job outright if a competition was held, but that it is Tebow’s job to lose not actually Orton’s to win.
If Orton is in fact traded, the Broncos are reportedly looking for a third round draft pick in exchange for the quarterback.
The Minnesota Vikings and the Arizona Cardinals are two teams that have been mentioned as possible landing points for the veteran quarterback.
If Orton stays with the team, even in a backup roll, Delhomme is likely the one to go.
