Pippen Changes his Tune, Jordan Best Ever
Written by Nolan Thomas, Friday June 24 2011
After the Miami Heat defeated the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference Finals, former Bull Scottie Pippen said that LeBron James "may be the greatest player to ever play the game."
Pippen caused quite a stir with his comments, but after watching James choke massively during the fourth quarters during the finals against the Dallas Mavericks, he has changed his tune and made it clear that he thinks former teammate Michael Jordan is the best player ever and not James.
Speaking to reporters at a youth camp in suburban Lisle on Friday, Pippen said he was simply giving "LeBron some props as a player" and also said that [we] "all know that [Jordan's] the greatest player that ever played the game" and that his comments a month ago were taken "a little bit out of context."
Pippen said that he has talked with Jordan numerous times since his original comments and that there is no animosity between the two teammates that won six championships together.
