Woods to Miss AT&T National [TWEET]
As he recovers from injuries to his left leg, Tiger Woods announced via Twitter that he will not participate in next weeks AT&T National being held at Aronomink just outside of Philadelphia.
"Doctor's orders," Woods posted on Twitter.
Since the tournament supports Tiger Woods Foundations, the former No. 1 golfer in the world said that he would be there to support the tournament. Woods is currently ranked No. 17 in the world rankings.
Woods has not completed a tournament since The Masters, where he hurt his left knee and Achilles after hitting a shot on the 17th hole from an awkward stance in the pine straw during the third round.
He attempted to compete in The Players Championship, but withdrew after nine holes after shooting a dismal 42 and complaining of pain from the injury.
It is yet to be seen if the best of Tiger Woods on the golf course is behind us or if he will ever regain the mastery on the links that he once had.
