Will there be a USC Reunion in Seattle?
Written by Travis Pulver, Saturday June 18 2011
Fans were left wondering why Reggie Bush seemed so down and assumed he was done in New Orleans when the Saints drafted Alabama running back and Heisman trophy winner Mark Ingram this year. Little did they know that the Saints had already opened the door for Bush to leave the team.
News has now been leaked that the Saints told Bush in February that they were okay with him gauging the interest in him on the free agent market. Some of the teams reported to be interested are the Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks and the New York Giants.
Bush is scheduled to be paid $11.8 million next season, money that is more on par with the top producers in the league of which he has not been since he entered the NFL. It would not be surprising at all if he were to be one of the first free agent moves made once the lockout is over and business as usual begins in the NFL.
