Mavericks Go Up On Heat 3-2
Written by Nolan Thomas, Thursday June 09 2011
Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks took a 3-2 lead against the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals with 112-103 victory on Thursday night.
Nowitzki led the Mavericks with 29 points, while Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 23 points.
Four of the Mavericks starters scored in double digits while only the Big Three of LeBron James, Wade and Chris Bosh on Miami did.
James, who called this game “now or never,” is truly in that situation now as the Mavericks can wrap up their first championship with another win and send the Big Three home for the summer with their tails between their legs.
