Ailing Nowitzki Makes Heat Sick

On a night when he probably should have been home in bed with a cup of tea and honey, a box of Kleenex and the TV remote on the night stand Dirk Nowitzki hauled his 102 degree fever riddled body onto the court and bested the Miami Heat. Knowing he couldn’t do it on his own, Nowitzki summoned his team mates from his sick bed and they responded like friends seeking to make life easy for an ailing buddy.
Jason Terry is still confounded by LeBron James defense, but he managed to shake him off late in the 4th and help spur yet another Mavs comeback that evened the series and, once again, left the psychically fragile Heat questioning their effort and assertiveness.
Had Nowitzki coughed on the Heat’s Gatorade cups he couldn’t have made them as sick as the final moments of Game 4 rendered them ill. And, thanks to the 2-3-2 format, the Mavs can crack the Heat’s eggshell thin psyche even more by winning Game 5 before having to return to Miami.
