Scottie Pippen says LeBron could be better than Jordan

If the pain wasn’t bad enough for Bulls fans after losing to LeBron James and the Miami Heat four games to one in the Eastern Conference Finals, former Bull and Michael Jordan teammate Scottie Pippen came out and said that James could be better than Jordan.

Pippen started the controversy in an interview with ESPN radio Friday morning, saying that Jordan “is probably the greatest scorer to play the game” but that James “may be the greatest player to ever play the game.”

Pippen went on to say that LeBron “is so potent offensively that not only can he score at will but he keeps everybody involved.”

How soon people forget. If it were not for Jordan getting Pippen involved, most people would never even remember the guy.

He also said that LeBron dominates from the offensive end but also does it on defense and that he has never seen a guy that can dominate a game they way LeBron can.

Pippen must also have a very short memory as Jordan was one of the best defensive players in the game and dominated the game unlike any player in the history of the game.

After thinking about what he had actually said, Pippen tweeted later in the day: "Don't get me wrong, MJ was and is the greatest. But LeBron could by all means get to his level someday.''

When LeBron has six rings on his fingers then I might think he was on Jordan’s level, but until that point, this whole discussion is unequivocally ludicrous.
