Steve Swindal Trying To Build His Own Empire
Written by Daniel Turner, Wednesday May 25 2011
Steve Swindal was once the man who would be King of the Yankees Empire as it was believed he would ascend the throne occupied by George Steinbrenner. However, a DUI and a divorce from Mr. Steinbrenner’s daughter left the former princely son in law in disgrace and opened the door for Hank and Hal to follow father to the big office in Yankee Stadium.
Swindal has remained active in baseball by running an academy in the Dominican Republic. Now he is attempting to purchase SFX Baseball Group to strengthen his access to MLB.
SFX is an organization that offers full service representation to players by providing agents, lawyers and financial planners and assistance. Included in their client list are
David Ortiz, Mariano Rivera and Justin Morneau.
If Swindal can get backing for his deal and make the purchase of SFX that would give him full representation of the players in his academy.
