The Running Of The Bulls
Written by Daniel Turner, Tuesday May 24 2011
Tonight the Bulls will attempt to avoid being shoved into a deep hole. A hole that will eventually leave them lying next to the other NBA conference winner and proving that the playoffs truly are the second season.
To say that the Bulls have lost their swagger would be to downplay the mesmerized state they appear to be in as they watch LeBron James take control of games down the stretch. The Bulls are getting beaten on both ends of the court. The Big 3 is finally untied in vanquishing foes and defensively the Bulls can’t penetrate the paint leaving Derrick Rose to launch shots further and further on the perimeter.
Yes, Carlos Boozer came alive offensively in Game 3, but only because the Heat isn’t going to let the MVP beat them. And, as the Bulls continue to walk the ball up court, they will continue to run into a five man Heat wall.
Two more games like Sunday’s and Oprah won’t be the only Chicago icon exiting TV this month.
