ARLINGTON, TX - DECEMBER 04: Nebraska Cornhusker fans cheer on their team against the Oklahoma Sooners at Cowboys Stadium on December 4, 2010 in Arlington, Texas. The Sooners beat the Cornhuskers 23-20. (Photo by Tom Pennington/Getty Images)

Maybe it was the loss in the Big 12 Championship game and the disappointment of not going to the Fiesta Bowl, or it could be getting passed over for the Insight Bowl and a shot at Arizona, perhaps it’s the lousy economy, but something is keeping Nebraska fans away from committing to the Holiday Bowl.

Having throttled their opponent Washington during the regular season and an unexpected destination has caused ticket sales to plummet drastically and that’s bad news for the school since they may have to eat the unsold tickets.
