Colts latest Super Bowl Loser to Struggle
Between 1998 and 2007, all but two teams, 1999 Titans and 2005 Seahawks, who lost the Super Bowl failed to qualify for the playoffs the following season. Some people call it the Super Bowl curse.
This year, the Indianapolis Colts, who lost to the New Orleans Saints in last seasons Super Bowl, are also struggling and there is the possibility that they could miss the playoffs this year as well.
The Colts' 36-14 loss to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday night dropped them to 6-5 and ended their streak of seven consecutive seasons with at least 12 wins.
The loss to the Chargers also has put the Colts playoff hopes in question.
The Colts are tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars for first place in the AFC South at 6-5, and they are just one loss away from last place, with the Texans and Titans just one game behind.
The Colts host the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday, then finish the season with three of their final four games against AFC South rivals.
