Commissioner Agrees, But Disagrees With Ray Lewis
Written by Daniel Turner, Monday November 15 2010
Last Thursday as Ravens LB Ray Lewis was plying his trade on the gridiron, Roger Goodell was talking to the NFL Network about Lewis’ contention that the league is fining players for doing no more than their job.
Goodell understands Lewis’ frustrations with the new interpretation of the rules, but he feels that a hardnosed player like Lewis will not be hit in the wallet. He’s after the cheap shots; hits to intentionally injure and he holds Lewis above that style of play.
