Sam Bradford Everything Expected and More for Rams
Overall No. 1 draft pick Sam Bradford impressed the Rams coaching staff early and because of it they went against conventional thinking and named him the teams starting quarterback from game one.
Numerous people around the NFL expected Bradford to sit fro the majority of his first season in the NFL, especially with the limited cast of players around him.
Bradford has not disappointed and has given the Rams everything the Rams expected and more.
He has led the team to a 4-4 record with a shot to actually win the NFC West and go to the playoffs.
Bradford rookie season has been compared to Peyton Manning’s rookie season and has also been mentioned in the same breath as a young Joe Montana.
Even without a proven receiver, Bradford is on pace for some impressive rookie records.
So far this season, Bradford is 171 of 292 for 1,674 yards, 11 TDs and eight interceptions.
If he keeps up his current pace he will be 342 of 584 for 3,348 yards, 22 TDs and 16 interceptions. That is quite a respectable year even for a veteran quarterback, not to mention an outstanding season for a rookie quarterback.
Bradford is accurate, composed, controls his frustrations and on a football field, he is years beyond his youth.
