Donovan McNabb for Jay Cutler? It Could Happen...
Written by Travis Pulver, Thursday November 04 2010
When a fan base is not too enamored with its quarterback and another is benched for some rather strange reasons the door is left wide open to speculation. There has been some considering the Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler and the signal caller for the Washington Redskins, Donovan McNabb.
McNabb's odd benching last Sunday leaves room for speculation that Shanahan is not pleased with his leader and would be open to getting another one. It's no secret that Jay Cutler has done little to endear himself to the faithful Bear backing. So why not switch teams?
Shanahan has to be thinking of dumping McNabb, but would love to be able to get something for him. Cutler has done little to impress in Chicago, and actually had his best years with Shanahan in Denver. In two full seasons as the starter under Shanahan Cutler threw for 8,000 yards with 45 TDs to 32 INTs. McNabb is a native of Chicago and would probably not mind going home, and since the Redskins obviously don't want him...
Stranger things have happened during the season and it would not be too surprising to see this scenario become reality.

Nice thought, but it will never happen. There is no way that McNabb could step in and run Martz's offense right off the bat and the offensive line is more of the problem in Chicago then Cutler is.
