KC’s Chambers Frustrated, But Not Pouting
Written by Daniel Turner, Wednesday October 27 2010
Chiefs’ wide receiver Chris Chambers was just getting ready to stretch for the game against Jacksonville when he was told he was a healthy scratch and had an unexpected Sunday off. Chambers dislocated a finger three weeks ago during the game against the Colts and hasn’t seen action since that loss. Still, this week he felt healthy and ready to go.
Some vets would have been more than frustrated over what amounts to a benching and vented their anger to anyone who cared to listen. Chambers took a different approach; he worked the sidelines offering advice gained from experience to the younger members of the Chiefs receiving corps. So, while being frustrated over the loss of playing time he contributed in the best way he could.
He does, however, hope to return to the lineup for Sunday’s game against Buffalo.
