Can The Bucs Ride Their Cadillac Over The Rams
Written by Daniel Turner, Friday October 22 2010
The Buccaneers have been as inconsistent as their 3-2 record indicates. They have pulled off three wins with a combined margin of 19 points and in their two losses they have a combined margin of 50. In other words, they have scraped by to win and when they lose, they lose big.
Sunday they host a Rams team that is a surprising 3-3. In order to win they will need cohesion that has eluded them so far this season. One thing they could definitely use is a good game from Cadillac Williams. Last season Williams was a Rolls Royce where this season Cadillac is a Yugo. His 2.5 yards per carry average is a league worse for anyone with 40 or more touches. Last week he had 10 carries and managed to rumble 18 yards. Mileage like that makes this Cadillac a gas guzzler that will cost the Bucs wins.
If Cadillac can’t get his motor running the Bucs may need to search for a more fuel efficient option before their season gets towed to the junk yard.
