Dolphins Secondary Could Grow Old Facing Favre
Written by Daniel Turner, Wednesday September 15 2010
Vontae Davis, the Dolphins second year corner back, was three years old when Brett Favre made his NFL debut. This Sunday he will be defending against the grand old man’s passes.
Davis and his defensive team mates looked sharp in Sundays 15-10 win over the Buffalo Bills, but that was facing Trent Edwards as the opposing quarter back. Edwards has 25 career touchdowns. Favre has 498 TD’s and that’s the NFL record.
So, Miami’s four defensive backs, who boast a combined 70 games of NFL experience, will have to shut down a QB who has started 286 contests. In other words by the end of the game, Favre could age the Dolphins d-backs considerably.
