Allen Iverson is considering an offer to play basketball in China, according to his personal manager, Gary Moore.

Moore explained that Iverson has not been contacted by any NBA teams, with training camps set to open in less than two weeks.  "We're very astonished, to say the least, that not one team has contacted us with any interest," Moore said.  "I just don't understand it."  He claims that there is "legitimate interest" between Iverson and a team in China to work out a deal.  Moore did not identify the team.

Iverson played three games for Memphis last season before leaving the team and returning the his first team, the Philadelphia 76ers.  He averaged 13.9 points for the Sixers and was even voted as an Eastern Conference NBA All-Star starter last season before taking a leave of absence in March because of his daughter's illness.

Moore said that the Chinese team approached Iverson last month.

In his prime, Iverson was a global superstar, with his own shoe and top-selling jerseys.  Iverson would be a considerable drawing card overseas, like another former NBA star, Stephon Marbury.  Marbury played last season for Shanxi Zhongyu in the Chinese Basketball Association.

Iverson was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1996 draft and spent his first 10 seasons in Philadelphia.  He was a four-time scoring champion, averaging 26.7 points.  He is 17th on the NBA's career scoring list with 24,368 points over his 14-year career with Philadelphia, Denver, Detroit and Memphis.

Moore said that Iverson has been working out in Atlanta in order to make a comeback.  "I don't think he's done," Moore said.
