The Cal Bears Want to Smell the Roses
Written by Daniel Turner, Friday August 06 2010
The Golden Bears have been watching their progress over the seasons and feel that now is the time to take center stage in the Pac-10. In the last eight seasons under Coach Jeff Tedford they have won 67 games, second most in the conference. During those eight winning seasons they have been in seven bowl games and won five. More importantly, they are 7-1 over Stanford.
Now, they want to make everyone aware of their success in the best way possible, "Our goal is to win a Pac-10 title," said Tedford, in his ninth season at Cal and the longest-tenured among Pac-10 head coaches. http://www.calbears.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/080410aaa.html
With 19 players returning and a recruiting class that was rated #11 by Rivals the Bears could smell the roses before settling down for a long winter’s nap.
