Orioles Win Showalter's Debut
Written by Christopher Corazon, Tuesday August 03 2010
Buck Showalter took over as manager of the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday. The Orioles have the worst record in the majors. They also are battling the ghosts of the 1988 Baltimore team that had the worst record for the O's in the modern era. After a win over the Angels, maybe Showalter is thinking "this might not be so bad."
It helped that Jeremy Guthrie pitched seven strong innings for the win. Luke Scott contributed with a two run homer, and Josh Bell picked up his first RBIs in the majors since his call up from AAA Norfolk. The Orioles won 6-3.
Showalter is now 3-1 in his first game with a new team. He also managed with the Yankees, Diamondbacks, and Rangers.

3-0 is not a bad start! I am starting to have the smallest feeling of faith in my heart again!
