Wisconsin Badgers Catch CBS’ Eye

Currently CBSSports.com is putting together a list of colleges that have had success in both football and basketball. They have dubbed the five schools they are highlighting the Flourishing Five. So far they have revealed numbers five and four on the list. The University of Wisconsin came in at the fourth spot.
Writers Dennis Dodd and Gary Parrish, who posted the pieces on the Badgers gridiron and hardwood teams, equate Wisconsin’s football success to their power game. They list the Badgers toughness, discipline and ability to force turnovers as the keys to the programs winning percentage.
To add additional weight to their achievements only Wisconsin and Texas have sent their football teams to bowl games and their basketball teams to the NCAA Tournament in each of the last eight seasons.
