Yao May Call it a Day Soon
The Houston Rockets are eagerly anticipating getting there 7’6” superstar back in the lineup for the 2010-11 season. However, it could be the last season they will have him.
No, Yao Ming is not looking to find greener pastures somewhere else; he is just concerned about having issues with his injured foot.
“If the foot injury does not heal next season, I might choose to call it quits.” (Yahoo)
Yao is not old by any means; he turns 30 in September. He is just unsure of how his foot is going to hold up; rehab has been going well, but he has yet to fully recover from the injury that kept him out of the entire 2009-10 season.
Houston has prepared to ease the burden on Yao in hopes of keeping him around as long as possible as the young talent on the team continues to gel by signing veteran enter Brad Miller this off-season.
