Rockets Ready to be Contenders
Written by Travis Pulver, Wednesday July 21 2010
Many teams have been busy making all kinds of moves this summer, some crazy and others not so crazy. At the same time there have been some teams that think their roster is pretty good just the way it is.
The Houston Rockets are one of those teams.
Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey made a push for Chris Bosh, but after losing out on him he was more than satisfied with resigning his own guys.
"We feel very good about the set of players we have now…We think it's a playoff team. We feel great about this team. We've got a lot of really high-quality players on this team, so improving it, it's going to be very, very difficult." (ESPN)
Houston recently announced the signing of Luis Scola and Kyle Lowry along with free agent Brad Miller. Without all-star Yao Ming last season the Rockets were still in playoff contention till later in the season; they ended up finishing 42-40.
