LeBron James Chooses the Miami Heat

LeBron James made it official on ESPN on Thursday evening with an hour long special just to announce that he will be joining Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami and playing with the Heat.

As this decision really came as no surprise, the whole hoopla surrounding LeBron and his decision on where he was going to play was a bit much and way too over hyped.

At this point I am sure that the Heat will now be favored to win it all for the next six years because they now have three super heroes on the court in Miami in Superman, (James) Batman (Bosh), and the Flash (Wade).

Personally, I think the whole fiasco was a big farce and it really shows us all that NBA free agency is a joke, as well as the salary cap which is supposed to avoid the chance of one team signing the top three free agents in James, Wade, and Bosh.

The fact that we all know the three of them conspired to do this from the beginning makes the whole media blitz surrounding LeBron and his co-conspirators even more disgusting.

I am sure that there are many out there who feel, like me, that the Heat fall flat on their faces next year. While they will undoubtedly make the playoffs, although it would be great if they did not, I would love to see them lose in the first round to one of the teams that these three players dissed, such as the Cav’s, the Bulls, or the Knicks.

Now wouldn’t that be a wonderful scenario? I suppose it will probably be a fantasy, but hey a guy can dream right?

In reality, I do think that the Heat is going to struggle, either on the court or off of it. My reasoning behind this is because any team with too many superstars on it always seems to have difficulties because they all want the limelight and to be the main guy.

I believe that each of their stats will go down. There is no way that they can all have as good stats when none of them will be the main guy anymore.

Can they play as a team? That is a good question and some will argue that they did it on the Olympic team, so why not?

The Olympic team was a one time thing and they all knew that once the games were over, they would not have to share the limelight anymore once they returned to their NBA teams. They knew that there were “The Man” and that’s how they liked it.

Too many stars just do not work, egos get in the way and dissention follows.

Just ask the Washington Redskins.

There's only one basketball, so I think LeBron's ego is going to blow up this Unholy Trinity. I'll be rooting against LeBron for his entire career now after what he did to his hometown fans with that ESPN "Special". What a complete Douchebag.

I agree, the Bulls would have been the best chance for him to win, but the conspiracy of the three of them took over. I think the decision was made weeks ago and they just took it for everything they could.
